As a Press Helper, you’ll work alongside experienced press operators to load large paper rolls, fill ink fountains, and keep our printing presses running smoothly. We’ll train you to operate clamp trucks, monitor equipment, and ensure everything stays clean and safe. Our team works 12-hour shifts, three days per week on a rotating day/night schedule, giving you four days off every week and regular opportunities for overtime. No experience is required — just a strong work ethic, reliability, and the willingness to learn. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with full benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) plan after your first year. In this position, you will be working with civil engineers and planners to assist in preparing drawings and updating plans in all areas of land development. Must be able to work efficiently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced team environment on a variety of different types of projects. Ability to work within a company's existing CAD standards is important. Good communication and organizational skills are essential. Proof of good driving records is required due to use of company vehicles. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for this position. *Lane Engineering also is willing to train the right individual for this role who has some experience with computer aided design programs and/or construction/land development. This position is entry level and performs a range of manual tasks and services that support the operation and maintenance of the Queen Anne’s County Sanitary District in the Collections divison. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide cordial, responsive, and accurate customer service. Operates various District systems under the direction and guidance of licensed operators and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, water and wastewater system components and otherwise assists the District to operate and maintain its systems. Monitors water treatment & distribution, wastewater, and collection system operations. Installs, repairs, and maintains underground water and sewer mains and other utility work. Performs manual tasks as assigned.

This experience involves working in the kitchen and learning the beginning skills of a chef in the culinary field. This Youth apprenticeship includes taking the beginning Chesapeake College Dual Enrollment Culinary class. Upon successfully completing all parts of this program, the student will earn a Culinary Youth Apprenticeship certification from Maryland Department of Labor, and will qualify to remain employed with Fisherman’s Inn, and advance in this business.
