ROUND 6 – Currently accepting applications until February 15th, 2026

Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development, in partnership with Upper Shore Regional Council, is providing grant funding to local agricultural businesses looking to expand, diversify, or improve their marketing efforts, implement capital improvement projects, or conduct agricultural research initiatives through our Micro Agricultural Grant Program.

Approximately $69,000 is available to fund applications under this program in FY2026. Grant requests ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 will be considered on a competitive basis.

Please submit a complete and accurate online application with all required supporting documentation by February 15, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

Eligible Applicants:

The purpose of the project is to help support and sustain the development, expansion, and coordination of agricultural enterprises and initiatives in Queen Anne’s County. Applicants must operate an agricultural business in Queen Anne’s County, MD and be actively engaged in the farming community in one or more of the following categories:

  • Crop and/or livestock production (including Equine)
  • Agricultural product processing
  • Agricultural education or support
  • Agricultural Cooperatives
  • Timber production or processing
  • Agritourism
  • Aquaculture

Eligible Projects:

Grant funding can be used for the following purposes:

  • Strategic marketing campaigns
  • Technology innovation or implementation
  • Climate resiliency projects
  • Capital improvements for business start-up, expansion, or value-added production
  • Research projects
  • Animal welfare improvements
  • Agritourism projects

Grant Process

Please submit a complete and accurate online application with all required supporting documentation by February 15, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

Applications will be reviewed by committee. Applicants will be sent a confirmation that their application has been received and will be contacted via email with questions and/or with funding outcomes.

This is a cost reimbursable grant. Grantees must complete a reimbursement request showing proof of expenses. All approved projects must be completed by May 31, 2026 and funding must be requested prior to June 15, 2026.

Grantees must complete a final grant report due to Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development by June 15, 2026.
