Core Responsibilities
• Instructional Support: Leading small groups or “stations” during activities planned by the Lead Teacher.
• Supervision: Monitoring the playground, gym, or cafeteria to ensure safety and resolve minor peer conflicts.
• Daily Care: Assisting with personal hygiene (toileting/diapering), handwashing, and supervising meal/snack times.
• Classroom Prep & Cleaning: Setting up materials for art projects, disinfecting toys, and organizing the room after “centers” or nap time.
• Observation: Recording data on child behavior or health (e.g., nap times, food intake) to help the Lead Teacher with reports.
Temporary Seasonal Part-time Utility Worker
The Town of Centreville is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Part-Time Utility Worker to assist the Department of Public Works from April through October. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for hands-on outdoor work and on-the-job training.
Hours: Vary based on operational needs
Duties Include:
Weed eating and mowing Town properties
Assisting Public Works staff with water main leaks and repairs
General grounds and maintenance tasks
Supporting Public Works operations as needed
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Dependable and willing to learn
