This is entry level clerical support duties under direct supervision. Duties may include receptionist, mail processing, basic data entry, general typing, filing and copying.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provides cordial, responsive and accurate customer service. Follows specifications or instructions closely. Performs entry level and routine tasks of limited complexity. Knows practices and procedures in assigned area. Works under direct supervision with limited independent judgment. Greets and screens calls and visitors Processes mail. Types, copies, and files. Attendance at certain evening or weekend meetings or events is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Six months related experience preferred. Basic computer skills required.

EXAMPLES OF WORK Receives telephone calls and visitors, ascertains nature of business and addresses directly or directs to a superior or another appropriate authority for disposition. Format department publications, forms, and templates and is responsible for continuous development of automated solutions for manual functions using word processing and spreadsheet software. Answers inquiries requiring interpretations of policies, rules, and regulations. Prepares and maintains various forms and records of governmental or department activities pertaining to personnel, payroll, purchasing, meetings, and other related activities. Performs other related work as required.

Inventory Receiving Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from carriers;

checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies.

• Signs for and inspects deliveries upon receipt, unloads goods from delivery vehicles as needed.

• Stocks received and returned inventory.

• Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling.

• Completes necessary paperwork and signoffs as outlined in policies and procedures.

• Transports materials with hand truck, pallet jacks and/or forklift as needed.

• Keeps a clean and safe working environment.

• May be asked on occasion to perform other duties not related to this job description.
