Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development and Queen Anne’s County Public Schools partnered to offer Youth Apprenticeship 2.0 for local businesses on November 20th, 2024 as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
Local businesses heard from businesses and students who participate in the youth apprenticeship program. QACHS Senior Hunter Seago and his immediate tech supervisor Jay Webster with State High Administration shared their experiences and the benefits of the Youth Apprenticeship program for both businesses and students.
Adam Tolley, Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, Career and Technical Education at QACPS, and Connie Dean, Workforce Development Administrator at QACETD, were surprised by Roseanne Fish of the Maryland Department of Labor who presented them with a proclamation from Governor Wes Moore’s office for their efforts and progress with the Youth Apprenticeship program. She emphasized their dedication to Career and Workforce Development.
