Maryland MADE (Manufacturing Assets Deployed for Energy)
The Maryland MADE grant program provides grants to small Maryland manufacturers to invest in the adoption and deployment of smart manufacturing and high-performance manufacturing technologies that will increase energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and enable lasting improvements. This is a mini-grant, with up to $15k for manufacturers with between 3 and 75 full-time employees on a first come, first serve basis.

The Amplifier Grant from the Outrange
The Outrage is an activism organization that offers a $5,000 new business grant to companies making a difference in their community. Funding is available on a seasonal basis and is awarded in January, April, July and October. To qualify for this grant, you must be a business or organization actively working to make the U.S. a better place. The Outrage accepts applications from startups, grassroots organizations, and nonprofits, among other small businesses.

Jobber Grants
Jobber, an operations management software company, offers $10,000 grants to home-service businesses, such as landscaping, painting, cleaning and plumbing companies. To be eligible for this grant, you must be an existing or aspiring home-service business owner who is at least 18 years old. Grant funds can be used for any business purpose. Applications are currently closed, but you can sign up on the Jobber website for updates on the 2025 cycle.

USDA Value-Added Producer Grant Program
The Maryland Agricultural and Resource-Based Industry Development Corporation (MARBIDCO) is offering the Maryland Value-Added Producer Matching Grant (MVAPG) to encourage Maryland’s agricultural producers to engage in value-added activities and pursue financial support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Value-Added Producer Grants Program (USDA-VAPG). The USDA-VAPG is a highly competitive nationwide grant program with approximately $30 million available for distribution in 2025. These federal grant funds can be used for planning (up to $75,000) or working capital expenses (up to $250,000) per USDA regulations. Eligible purposes include feasibility studies or business plans, and working capital for producing and marketing value-added agricultural products.

Certified Local Farm and Fish Food Aggregation Grant
MARBIDCO’s latest round of the Certified Local Farm and Fish Food Aggregation Grant opens on January 21, 2025. The grant funds projects that help small farmers aggregate their products to sell to an institutional or wholesale buyer. The deadline for submitting applications is February 28, 2025. The Certified Local Farm and Fish Food Aggregation Grant Program aims to demonstrate how the investment of funds can help grow and strengthen Maryland’s local food system and create opportunities for small farmers to sell products to wholesale and institutional markets.
