This is entry level clerical support duties under direct supervision. Duties may include receptionist, mail processing, basic data entry, general typing, filing and copying.

Knows practices and procedures in assigned area. Works under direct supervision with limited independent judgment. Greets and screens calls and visitors Processes mail. Types, copies, and files. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Six months related experience preferred. Basic computer skills required.
EXAMPLES OF WORK Receives telephone calls and visitors, ascertains nature of business and addresses directly or directs to a superior or another appropriate authority for disposition. Format department publications, forms, and templates and is responsible for continuous development of automated solutions for manual functions using word processing and spreadsheet software. Answers inquiries requiring interpretations of policies, rules, and regulations. Prepares and maintains various forms and records of governmental or department activities pertaining to personnel, payroll, purchasing, meetings, and other related activities. Performs other related work as required.
